INS acoustic wrap is thin and flexible pipe insulation wrap that can be easily installed as it adhers to wide range of conventional building materials, including PVC and steelwork. It is class ‘O’ rated and meets the stringent building regulations and sound insulation testing requirements.
INS AC110 soil pipe insualtion is provided ready to use, requires no curing or drying time, and produces an immediate bond around pipes.
Key Features:
-
High Performance : Pipe wrap insulation is designed to offer thermal and acoustic insualtion in every application. The nitrile ruubber offers a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/mK at 20degC, making sure the pipes retain heat and funtion at optimum capacity.
Furthermore, pipe insulation rolls contain a viscoelastic acoustic membrane technology, providing efficient soundproofing while also acting as a vapor barrier, enhancing overall insulation performance.
-
Self-Adhesive Membrane: The acoustic wrap is a self-adhesive pipe lagging with high-quality butyl adhesive that adheres to quickly and easily to most conventional building materials, including PVC and steelwork. Provides with easy release adhesive backing, it allows for easy installation without the need for additional adhesives or tapes.
- Thin and Flexible: Despite its high-performance capabilities, this pipe insulation wrap remains thin and flexible, making it easy to handle and install even in tight spaces or complex configurations.
-
Compliance and Safety: Meets stringent building regulations and safety standards, including Class ‘O’ fire rating, ensuring peace of mind and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Long-lasting Performance: Highly durable material designed to withstand the rigors of industrial use, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability in demanding environments.
Applications:
- INS AC110 is ideally used to insulate and provide sound insulation in rainwater and soil pipes in temperatures not exceeding +90°C.
Installation:
AC110 in most applications is bonded directly to the soil pipe. The product is designed to stick direct as it is also a vibration damping material and reduces the energy from running water. No prior lagging is required.
Depending on the type of pipe, techinique of installation and other factors, for straight pipe runs, the AC110 on its own offers significant soundproofing. If the pipe is to be fully exposed, then we'd also recommend installing a layer of our Acousti-Lag Flex on top of the AC110 at the bends as this is where most of the noise is prominent as the water hits the bends. To further improve soundproofing in soil pipes, you could apply the AC110 and then box the pipe in to enhance the acoustic performance.
